Welcome to Saint Mary Academy Preschool

We are very excited you are exploring our preschool for your child. As you learn more about our program, you will begin to see why our program is special.  Our preschool is a branch of Saint Mary Academy Catholic School and Saint Bernadette Catholic Church.  We serve children ages 3 to 5 (By August 1) with full (5 days) or part-time classes (3 days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).  We look forward to getting to know you and your child.

About Us
Our Saint Mary Academy Preschool is the perfect balance of academics and play.  We strive to provide your child with the most current trends in Early Childhood Education while maintaining a safe and fun environment that strives to meet social and emotional needs through our Conscious Discipline program.

Our Program & Daily Routine
Saint Mary Academy Preschool offers children the opportunity to grow academically and spiritually in a safe and structured environment.
Preschool begins the day with Morning Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance followed by circle time where students are exposed to Phonics, Counting and Calendar. Our children have centers time to explore their interests as well as structured work time. Saint Mary Academy offers special area classes to our Preschoolers.  Our preschool students attend Art, Music, PE and Spanish with our four-year-olds also attending Technology.  There is a scheduled snack time each morning, and students go to lunch in the cafeteria followed by an afternoon rest time.  Recess is held twice a day – once in the morning and once in the afternoon prior to dismissal. The organized structure of the daily schedule prepares students for the Kindergarten experience.

Developmental Requirements
Eligible students must be potty trained and must be three or four years old on or before August 1 of the current school year in which you are enrolling.

Our Staff
Our Program is led by our Preschool Director, Teresa Butler.  Each class has one lead teacher and one assistant.  Our team is highly experienced with over 85 years combined at Saint Mary Academy!  We meet each child where they are and help them reach their fullest potential by Kindergarten.

Our Schedule
Preschool follows the Saint Mary Academy school calendar for holidays, conferences and events.
Arrival begins at 7:30 am and classroom instruction begins at 7:50 am.
Dismissal is at 2:35 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 12:35 on Wednesdays.
We offer full day Monday through Friday (for 3’s and 4’s) and Part-time Tuesday through Thursday (3 day program for our 3 year olds only).

After School Care
Preschoolers are offered After School Care at an additional cost until 6 pm each day.  They will stay within the program. To register for After School Care, contact Teresa Butler at teresa.butler@saintmaryacademy.com .

Tuition
3 day program:  $4560 per year (3 year olds only)
Full Day program: $7150 per year

Admissions Information
The order of priority for preschool enrollment presumes active participation in parish life, including support of the church and is based on the following:

1. Registered active parishioners with children currently enrolled in Saint Mary Academy.
2. Registered active parishioners
3. Non-parishioners
4. Children must meet the age requirements for the class they are applying.
5. Children must be fully potty trained before entering preschool.
