Mission Trip - July 2018

Amidst stunning mountains and deep, shaded hollows, Appalachia is home to generations of proud families, many wrestling with the despair of extreme poverty. Our tripsters travel to eastern Kentucky repairing homes for those most in need. Will you travel with us to make a difference? Who:  10 students in High School or entering 8th Grade in fall of 2018 plus about 3 adult chaperones (First 10 students to sign up will be able to go on this trip.  Another trip is planned for twenty     8th Grade students in Oct. 2018)  What: Immersion trip to Appalachia, KY (3.5 hr drive) to Auxier, KY.  Hand in Hand Ministries renovated an unused school and turned it into a retreat house accommodating boys and girls on separate floors. When: Leave Saint Bernadette Parish parking lot Sunday, July 22 and return Wednesday afternoon, July 25.
