Carl Creason holds a PhD in History from Northwestern University, a Master's Degree from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor's Degree from Murray State University. He has published articles in American Catholic Studies and U.S. Catholic Historian as well as authored dozens of scholarly book reviews and encyclopedia entries. Before arriving at SMA, he taught in a variety of learning environments, including middle school, high school, and undergraduate classes.
Originally from far western Kentucky, he lives in Louisville with his wife and two young children. Outside of school, Carl loves watching the Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals. You also might find him on a local golf course trying to break 85. In the summertime, he enjoys vacationing with his family on Hilton Head Island or another location along the Atlantic Coast.
