Merly Barnes

Merly started teaching Spanish at Saint Mary Academy in 2019. She was born in Lima, Peru, and moved to the United States in 2002. She studied Informatics Systems in the San Ignacio de Loyola Institute in Lima, and she is certified as a Specialist User in Computers and Informatics. Merly is pursuing her Teacher Certification in ELE Internacional School in Spain.
Mrs. Barnes enjoys spending time with her husband Robert and her two children, Lucas 14, and Noelia 15. She also has two furry family members, cat and dog, and enjoys traveling, listening to music, karaoke, and playing tennis.
Fun fact: While on vacation in New Your City, Merly adopted a puppy (unplanned) while window shopping in Chelsea/Meatpacking district. Her name is Chelsea.
