Covid 19 and now the Delta virus has brought much grief.
Perhaps you’re one of the millions who has lost a loved one to the brutalities of Covid-19, or maybe you’re grieving another kind of loss: missed time with family and friends, a postponed wedding, loss of employment, illness due to Covid, a graduation ceremony that didn’t happen, the unseen birth of a grandchild, lack of birthday and holiday celebrations, loss of social connections, etc. Many of us have also grieved circumstances or deaths unrelated to the coronavirus — each made even more difficult in the context of a pandemic. Anxiety, stress, and sadness may be familiar emotions right now.
Every loss deserves to be acknowledged and addressed.
Finding solace in prayer with our Church family can help us to name these feelings and offer hope - hope that we can all get through this difficult time; hope that we may all gain a greater appreciation of routines that we have all lost; hope that we may all be strengthened by this trial and more focused on what is truly valuable and meaningful in life.
We invite you to come to an evening of prayer where you can name your loss and surrender your burden to our merciful and compassionate God. Together we will seek the hope that Christ offers us, a future of peace and joy, even during these challenging times.
