ooking for a meaningful practice this Lent? A deeper encounter with Christ? Join in this parish-wide opportunity, “A BIBLICAL WALK THROUGH THE MASS” to better understand the significance of all that we say and do in the Liturgy. For many Catholics we know what to do at Mass, but can we explain what these prayers and rituals mean? Come each week during Lent (5 weeks) to watch a 30 minute video, that will lead us to a more meaningful, more fruitful worship experience, not only during Lent, but in every Mass we attend from now on! No study or homework....just come any of the times below!
The same video will be shown each session in the Church, room N700 off the Narthex (lobby), Sunday thru Friday, for weeks 1 thru 5 within the following schedule:
WEEK 1 (week of Feb. 18) - Overview of the Mass
WEEK 2 (week of Feb. 25) - Introductory Rites (Sign of the Cross, Greeting, Penitential Rite, Kyrie, Gloria, Collect)
WEEK 3 (week of Mar. 4) - Liturgy of the Word (Readings, Psalm Response, Gospel, Homily, Creed, Prayers of the Faithful)
WEEK 4 (week of Mar.11) - Liturgy of the Eucharist (Preparation of the Gifts, Eucharistic Prayer, Communion Rite)
WEEK 5 (week of Mar. 18)- Concluding Rites (Announcements, Blessing, Dismissal)
